Post UTME forms are now available across several Nigerian institutions, marking the start of the 2026/2027 academic admission cycle. This update provides a comprehensive list of schools selling Post UTME forms, including federal universities, state universities, private universities, polytechnics, and colleges of nursing sciences. For candidates seeking admission, this is the perfect time to act, as deadlines for registration are already approaching in some institutions.

Post utme forms 2026

The Post-UTME screening exercise is a mandatory requirement for admission into most higher institutions in Nigeria. It serves as a second-level assessment after the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE). Institutions use this process to evaluate candidates’ readiness and suitability for their chosen courses. The screening often involves computer-based tests, submission of academic records, and verification of eligibility criteria such as age, subject combinations, and minimum cut-off marks.

Why Early Application Matters

Applying for Post-UTME screening exercise as soon as they are released is important. Many institutions set strict deadlines, and late applications are not accepted. Early registration also gives candidates ample time to prepare for the screening exercise. Since competition for admission is intense, timely application increases the chances of securing a slot in the preferred institution.

Categories of Institutions Offering Post-UTME

For clarity, institutions that have released Post UTME forms for the 2026/2027 academic session can be grouped into three major categories:

  • Federal Universities: These are federal government-owned institutions with nationwide recognition. They often attract the highest number of applicants due to their reputation and affordability.
  • State Universities: They are managed by state governments, and provide opportunities for indigenes and non-indigenes alike. They are known for diverse programmes and regional accessibility.
  • Private Universities: These are privately owned institutions that offer modern facilities, flexible programmes, and often shorter academic calendars.
  • Polytechnics: They are known for practical and technical education.
  • Colleges of Nursing Sciences: These institutions specialize in training healthcare professionals and are vital for candidates pursuing careers in Nursing and allied health sciences.

Before starting your application, it is highly recommended that you obtain the official Post-UTME Past Questions and Answers for your preferred institution. These materials will help you prepare effectively for the screening exercise.

This list will be updated regularly as more schools release their Post UTME forms. To stay informed, make it a habit to revisit this page often. For easier navigation, the schools have been categorized under three main headings: Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Nursing Sciences.
